Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until the butter melts.
  2. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar (or chicken broth) and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons rinsed capers, and 1 teaspoon lemon zest; season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Cook for another 1–2 minutes before removing from heat; stir in chopped fresh parsley if desired.
