  • 1 lb frozen gyoza dumplings (vegan)
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes (mixed colors)
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 5 scallions
  • 3 Tbsp Tamari (low sodium)
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish (or crispy fried onions)
  • Garlic chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Steam the frozen gyoza dumplings according to package instructions. Transfer them to a large bowl and add a teaspoon of sesame oil.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup. Pour over the warm dumplings and toss gently.
  3. Chop the heirloom tomatoes and cucumber, then add them along with sliced scallions to the dumpling bowl.
  4. Tear in fresh basil leaves and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds or crispy fried onions for garnish.
  5. Customize with any extra veggies you prefer and serve at room temperature with garlic chili sauce on the side.
