- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
- Shape small balls of dough into ovals and press them down with a fork to create the crosshatch pattern. Sprinkle lightly with sugar before baking.
