Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast pecans on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes until fragrant.
- Cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in cooled, toasted pecans.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set but soft.
- Cool cookies on a wire rack before glazing.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in milk before removing from heat. Whisk in powdered sugar until there are no lumps.
