  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form, then press into the bottom of the pan.
  3. Sprinkle pecan halves over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt more butter with brown sugar while stirring continuously until boiling; stir for one minute.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the crust and pecans.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let sit for a few minutes before spreading into an even layer.
