  • For the Icing: 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture; blend well.
  5. Combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed.
  6. Scoop dough onto a baking sheet; flatten slightly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden; cool on a wire rack.
  8. For icing: blend cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Ice cooled cookies and optionally sprinkle mini chocolate chips.
