  • 2 tsp instant coffee
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugars, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk mixture, sour cream, and instant coffee until smooth. Add boiling water gradually.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures gently until just mixed.
  5. Divide batter into prepared pans and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes in pans before transferring them to wire racks.
