  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 12 tablespoons honey
  • 12 tablespoons fig preserves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
  • Optional: chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and place the brie in the center.
  3. Score the top of the brie in a crosshatch pattern.
  4. Spread fig preserves over the top, drizzle with honey, sprinkle thyme leaves, and add black pepper.
