Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; cook until softened (4-5 minutes). Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; stir into the apple mixture and cook until thickened.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Flatten each biscuit into a circle about 1/4-inch thick. Place a tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each and fold the edges over tightly.
  4. Dip each bomb into melted butter, then roll in a mixture of remaining sugar and cinnamon before placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
